Australian Cricket Team suffered a massive defeat in the 1st Test match against India. The visitors lost the match by an innings & 131 runs where the batters were surprised by the turn & bounce of the pitch. The Aussies got bundled out for 91 runs in 32.3 overs where not a single batter scored 30 runs.
The hosts would be booming with confidence as winning a Test match inside 3 days is quite huge. Ravichandran Ashwin & Ravindra Jadeja hunted in the back where Ashwin continued his dominance as he took his 31st five-wicket haul. It won’t be wrong to say that Ashwin played with the opposition players’ minds.

Australia Cancel Practice Session
Australian Team had planned a practice session at the Nagpur pitch but now they have canceled. The Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) ground staff watered the surface following the completion of the match which forced Australia to cancel the session. A report states that Australia had requested to keep the wicket intact. This would be a massive blow for Australia as that pitch would have given them ample practice ahead of the 2nd Test match at Delhi on 17 February.

Australia in Deep Trouble
The mighty Aussies haven’t been able to perform according to their credentials. There were huge expectations from the likes of Khawaja & Labuschagne but the duo looked in a hurry to play shots. The visitors need to pull up their socks quickly as this Indian side won’t be easy to beat. Only England has won Test Series in India that too way back in 2012.
Steven Smith & David Warner have to toil the bowlers because, in India, the batters can’t play aggressively. The management would be considering changing the batting position of Steven Smith from No.4 to No.3 where he can negate the threat of spinners. It would be interesting to see whether Aussies make wholesale changes as Hazlewood, Starc, Green & Head could be in line for the 2nd Test match.
