And now…the best brunch drinks!
Here's a spin on that most classic of all brunch drinks: the mimosa! We think this one's the best. It's made with Italian Prosecco, orange juice, and a dash of Cointreau for the perfect bubbly citrus flavor. Use Prosecco instead of champagne for a sweeter, nuanced flavor.
Ingredients: Orange juice, champagne or Prosecco, Cointreau
Also try: Pineapple Mimosa, Cranberry Mimosa, Apple Cider Mimosa, Pomegranate Mimosa, Strawberry Mimosa, or Non Alcoholic Mimosa
Next up in our brunch drinks: the Sea Breeze! This cranberry grapefruit cooler is laid-back, tart and refreshing. It tastes just like its name: light, breezy, and all about no-frills vibes. It's also seriously easy to make: it's just got three ingredients. Or, change it into a Bay Breeze by using pineapple juice instead of grapefruit. Another option: mix up a big pitcher when entertaining for a crowd!
Ingredients: Cranberry juice, vodka, and grapefruit juice
Here’s a sparkling cocktail that’s full of beautiful fresh flavor: the Bellini! The bellini is a classic cocktail that comes from Italy. The combination of bubbly Prosecco and sweet peaches couldn’t be more refreshing! It’s ideal in the summer during peach season, as a signature drink for cocktail hour. And of course, it’s natural for brunch like its cousin the mimosa. Luckily, you can use either fresh or frozen peaches: so you can make it anytime!
Ingredients: Peach puree, Prosecco
Need an easy vodka brunch cocktail that looks impressive? Try the Vodka Sunrise! This layered cocktail looks like a gradient of a summer sunrise, and it’s ideal for brunch or a laid back afternoon drink. The way that orange juice fades into bright pink grenadine is truly magical. All you need are three ingredients for this spin on the Screwdriver.
Ingredients: Vodka, orange juice, grenadine
What's a more classic brunch drink than a Bloody Mary? It's spicy and perfectly seasoned, it’s full of vegetable goodness. Making homemade Bloody Marys is much more delicious than mixes you can find at the grocery. Then, add your personal touches with the garnish! Celery stalks and skewers with pickles and olives are traditional. Try fancy pickles if you can find them, like cauliflower or okra.
Ingredients: Tomato juice, lemon juice, Worcestershire, horseradish, hot sauce, celery salt, black pepper, vodka
Also try: Caesar, Bloody Maria, Spicy Bloody Mary or Red Snapper
This cocktail’s got a unique name and a beautiful pale pink color! What's salty about it? The salt rim, which accentuates the sweet and sour flavors. It’s tangy and refreshing, perfect as a brunch drink or for happy hour. It’s got a light summery vibe, but it also works in winter when citrus abounds. If you'd like, water it down with a little soda water as a spritzer.
Ingredients: Gin, grapefruit juice, simple syrup
Here’s one of the most sophisticated and refreshing cocktail recipes out there: a French 75! It’s got a mysterious name, but it’s made with a few simple ingredients. It’s tangy, bubbly, and a bit botanical. If you're not using it as a brunch drink, it's great for happy hour or a dinner party with friends. Really, any occasion is better with this drink in hand!
Also try: French 77 or French 76
Ingredients: Gin, champagne, lemon juice, simple syrup
Love booze in your coffee? Let’s make Irish coffee! There’s nothing more soul warming than that classic combination of bitter coffee, buttery whisky and frothy whipped cream. There are infinite variations on the spiked coffee theme, too.
Ingredients: Irish whiskey, coffee, whipped cream
Also try: Mexican Coffee or Kahlua Coffee
The Michelada is a spicy beer cocktail made with Mexican beer, tomato juice, lime juice and hot sauce. Consider it a sort of combination between a Bloody Mary and a beer margarita! The best part is the glass rim: a mix of Old Bay, chili powder and celery salt brings a salty, savory flair to the front end of this refreshing drink. The flavor is just right for lots of occasions: especially brunch!
Ingredients: Mexican lager beer, lime juice, salsa juice or tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce
Also try: Classic Chelada
The Fuzzy Navel is a fruity party drink from the 1980’s, a marriage of peach schnapps and orange juice. Like so many drinks of that era, it’s too sweet and uses a trendy ingredient that was novel at the time. But guess what? This drink isn’t all that bad. You'll love the “pleasantly peachy” aroma.
Ingredients: Orange juice, peach schnapps
The Madras is another perfect brunch drink! Similar to the Sea Breeze, this vibrant pink vodka drink is zingy and refreshing, featuring cranberry juice for tartness and color. It takes no time at all to make: just mix it right in the glass and serve on ice!
Ingredients: Cranberry juice, vodka, and orange juice
Here’s a bright, beautiful brunch drink that works as a cocktail or mocktail: the Cherry Lime Rickey! Something about the combination of cherries and lime is pure genius, where the tart of the citrus perfectly accentuates the sweet berry. So combining it into a homemade mocktail or cocktail? Well, it’s pretty darn perfect.
Ingredients: Lime juice, cherry syrup, soda water
Also try: Lime Rickey or Raspberry Lime Rickey
Love a good Mojito? Then let us introduce you to the very best brunch drink mocktail version of it: the Virgin Mojito! It has all the minty flavor of the original, without the rum. This makes it perfect for afternoon brunches. Or, you can make up our Classic Mojito for some guests, and this Mojito mocktail for others!
Ingredients: Mint, simple syrup, soda water
Looking for non-alcoholic brunch drinks? This fruit infused water is perfect: and easy to make! The vibrant colors of the fruit look beautiful in a pitcher. And the flavor is incredibly refreshing: it's lightly sweet and aromatic. You can use any fruits and herbs you like in this one.
Ingredients: Water, orange, strawberry, mint
Meet our peach sangria recipe: lightly sweet, refreshing, and full of fresh peaches, raspberries, and fresh mint. Sangría is a traditional wine punch that originates from Spain. A classic sangria is made with red wine and chopped fruit, but there are lots of sangria variations. This peach sangria is a white sangria, meaning that it uses white wine instead of red. Mix up a batch and prepare to be amazed!
Ingredients: Peaches, raspberries, white wine, brandy, sugar, sparkling water
Also try: Strawberry Sangria
