Banana Peach Smoothie

Here’s a smoothie that you’ll want to make on repeat from the first sip: this Banana Peach Smoothie! There’s something about peach smoothies that makes us crave them, like this creamy, drool-worthy Peach Smoothie that tastes like peach pie. This variation amps up the banana and is all about the pure fruit flavor. It’s dairy free, with some protein-adder ideas and a creamy variation (just for fun). Ready to get blending?

Ingredients in this banana peach smoothie

This bright yellow banana peach smoothie is packed with sunny flavor, but it’s got a short ingredient list of things you might already have on hand: as long as you stock frozen peaches, that is! Here’s what you’ll need for this easy puree (jump to the recipe below for quantities):

  • Frozen peaches
  • Banana (room temperature)
  • 100% orange juice
  • Water and ice
  • Vanilla extract

Simply blend all the ingredients, adding additional orange juice or water until it comes to a thick but pourable puree!

Creamy variation: add Greek yogurt

This banana peach smoothie is a dairy-free smoothie, to allow the banana flavor to shine through. But we love a good creamy peach smoothie like our Perfect Peach Smoothie! If you like, you can substitute the following in this smoothie for a creamy body, and it adds protein too!

  • Substitute ¼ cup each Greek yogurt and milk for the water
  • Add additional milk or orange juice as needed to help it to blend

Ways to add protein to a banana peach smoothie

This banana peach smoothie doesn’t have protein at the base level: which works if you’re planning to drink this as a beverage. But if you you want to use it as meal replacement, you’ll need to add some filling protein. Here are a few ideas:

  • Vanilla protein powder: Protein powder tastes great here! We like eating natural foods, so did some research into How to Choose the Healthiest Protein Powder. We’ve been using this protein powder that has natural ingredients and like the flavor — it’s not too artificial.
  • Chia seeds. Add plant-based protein and fiber with chia seeds! 2 tablespoons chia seeds adds 4 grams protein and 11 grams fiber. (See Chia Seed Smoothie.)
  • Almond butter or cashew butter. 1 tablespoon nut butter adds 4 grams protein. Keep in mind this will dull the color and flavors a bit, but it still tastes good!
